Mustakabali Wetu–Our Future is a community-based organization in Athinai, Mogotio Township, Baringo County, Kenya. We transform the lives of vulnerable children through education, nutrition, shelter, and holistic care — giving them the foundation they need to dream, grow, and give back to their community.

If it weren't for our program, chances are that just like thousands of other children in Baringo County, these beautiful and talented children would be on the street and living in dire conditions. Instead, they are getting an education and nutritious meals and have dreams of becoming professionals who can give back to the community one day.
They love school and they are very grateful to be able to get an education and don't take the help and support they need for granted.

Marion was born in 2006 to a single mum who does casual jobs in Mogotio Town to support her family. Casual labour in Kenya only pays $2–3 USD per day, making it impossible to afford school fees. We came in to help Marion go to school three years ago. She sat for her final exams in High school in 2024. Through the years, Marion has really transformed into a confident and happy young woman. She has found a real sense of belonging since we've taken her under our wings. She is now in college.
Patrick was born in the Makongeni area of Mogotio to a single mother of five. He was brought up through serious hardship, growing up in a very tough environment where his mum worked on a farm planting and harvesting sisal. No matter how hard she tried, she still could not afford to pay for her five kids to go to school. We found out that some would have to drop out, and that's how we came to support Patrick's education three years ago. Patrick sat his final High School exams in 2024 and is now in college.
